What Are Care Circles? (And Why Your Family Needs One)

Managing health for yourself is hard enough. Doing it for your whole family? That's where Care Circles come in.

Health Is a Team Sport

Here's the thing nobody tells you about managing health: it's almost never just about you.

You're tracking your kid's ear infections. Your mom's new medication. Your partner's upcoming specialist appointment. Your own symptoms that you keep meaning to write down but never do.

And somehow, all of this information lives in group texts, sticky notes, screenshots of insurance cards, and the back of your brain.

Care Circles were built to fix that.

Your Care Circle

Everyone on the
same page.

No more group texts. No more “wait, what did the doctor say?” One circle, everyone informed.

So What Is a Care Circle?

A Care Circle is your health team — the people who need to stay in the loop on someone's health journey. It could be:

  • You and your partner managing your child's health together
  • You and your siblings coordinating care for an aging parent
  • You and a close friend helping them through a tough diagnosis
  • Your whole family staying connected across different health needs

Everyone in the circle sees the same health data. No more "wait, what did the doctor say?" texts. No more one person being the bottleneck for all the information.

How It Works

1. Create a profile for anyone you care for

Your kid, your parent, yourself — each person gets their own health profile with their own Health Hubs, medications, and history.

2. Invite your people

Generate a simple 6-character invite code and share it. Your partner, a sibling, a trusted friend — they enter the code in their app and they're in.

3. Control access

Not everyone needs the same level of access:

  • Owner — full control, manages the circle
  • Editor — can add and edit health data (great for a co-parent)
  • Viewer — can see everything but can't make changes (great for a grandparent who wants to stay informed)

4. Stay coordinated

Now when your kid has a doctor visit, both parents see the notes. When your mom's medication changes, all the siblings know. No one is out of the loop.

Real Examples

Managing Your Kids' Health

You take your daughter to the pediatrician. Your partner is at work. You log the visit, the new prescription, and the follow-up instructions. Your partner sees all of it instantly — no phone call needed.

Caring for an Aging Parent

Your mom lives across the country. She has three doctors, seven medications, and your two siblings who all want to help but don't know what's going on. One Care Circle. Everyone informed. Your mom gets coordinated care instead of three kids asking her the same questions.

Supporting a Friend

Your best friend just got a diagnosis. They added you to their Care Circle as a viewer. You can see how they're doing, what's coming up, and when they might need support — without them having to explain everything over and over.

Why It Matters

The #1 cause of medical errors isn't bad doctors — it's bad information. When your care team has the full picture, they make better decisions. When your family is coordinated, nothing falls through the cracks.

Care Circles turn health from a solo struggle into a team effort.
